Sadly our pets can get cancer and this is a common reason for visits to the vet. The word “cancer” is often met with a negative connotation, but not all cancers are fatal and the tools to fight cancer are evolving and now with multiple modalities there is a greater chance of survival.
Treatment starts with an accurate diagnosis of the tumor type. Collecting a biopsy sample and interpretation allows our vets to devise a treatment strategy. A tailored program using a combination of therapies in addition to surgery for your pet will give them the best chance of living long and well.
We are in constant communication with veterinary oncologists who advice on therapeutic regimes.
